The club's code of conduct, explained to everyone who needs it, in their own language.

We turn your club's own code of conduct into short narrated lessons, cards and audio for coaches, parents and young athletes, in their own languages. A qualified person checks every text before it reaches anyone. It explains your code; it does not replace it.

Coaches and volunteers: how we work

At Millbrook Junior Sports Club, every session is open and friendly. Two adults are always present, and we train in open, visible spaces. Group chats always include two adults, so we use them instead of private messages. We speak respectfully to every young athlete. We take photos only with the written consent of the parents. Adults never go into the changing rooms alone.

Parents: what to expect and what we ask

Welcome, and thank you for being here. We ask for a calm, friendly sideline: cheer for every young athlete and leave the coaching to the coaches. Drop off and pick up at the main door, and tell the coach if someone else is collecting your child. Our safeguarding officer is at the front desk, and the number on the card is there for any question or concern.

Young athletes: what is okay and who to talk to

You are part of our team, and we want you to feel good. It is okay to have fun, to ask questions and to say no. It is not okay if something makes you uncomfortable, or if someone asks you to keep a secret. You can tell any adult you trust. Our safeguarding officer is a trusted adult at the front desk. You are never in trouble for telling.

If something worries you: the steps

If something worries you, tell the club's safeguarding officer. Write down only the facts of what you saw or heard, with the date and time. Please do not ask questions or look into it yourself. The officer decides what to do with the club, and tells the right authority when needed. Everything stays confidential, and we are grateful that you spoke up.
